"My mission in life is not merely to survive, but to thrive; and to do so with some passion, some compassion, some humor, and some style."
~ Maya Angelou
The Diadem, adorning the matrilineal society of Meghalaya, is not for the fainthearted. It’s for the ones who follow traditions yet keep the courage to challenge them if those traditions hinder freedom.
Miranda, a Muezart team member, and designer took inspiration from the patterns of her diadem and created a design with one of the Ri-bhoi weavers.
Drawing inspired by the Khasi crown of the queen.
Miranda works with Kong Rupali to transition her drawing to the graph paper for weaving.
