The Good Wool Hunt is Over
We’ve got a blended Merino and Eri silk yarn makers will love. For generations, families in Meghalaya, in northeast India, have raised the Eri silkworm to create beautiful yarn. We thought, how can we get more makers like you exposed to the amazing fiber of Eri silk? The answer! Blend it with a popular fiber. We picked Merino.

Erino - 15/3 Fingering Yarn
We worked with a local mill to custom blend a yarn they had never created. We named it Erino! A fingering weight yearn that is 60% Eri Silk and 40% Merino. Each 100 gram skein contains 500 yards.
15/3 | 100g | 500 YD | 60% Eri, 40% Merino
Undyed Erino
This 15/3 special blended yarn is a mix of Eri silk and Merino wool.
When we were making this yarn, we thought of a simple yarn that would be perfect to highlight both the properties of the fibers. It takes 60% of Eri silk and 40% of Merino wool to make our silk blend a classic and elegant yarn, which has an unbelievably softness of merino and the subtle glow of raw silk!

Naturally Dyed Erino is Even Better
We took our Erino yarn to Kong Tmung. She is a mother, an artist, and a passionate practitioner of natural plant-based dye traditions. Her passion for natural dyeing got charged up when we told her about dyeing a new blended yarn. It was her first time to hand dye Merino fiber blended with Eri. There were adjustments to make to her process. See the result…
